Attention Literacy empowers you to make choices about how your attention serves your individual well-being and gives expression to your true intentions. 

This is not dependent on any ideology, or guru and is not physically demanding. It can be practiced in a chair, in a hospital bed, on a mountain top; as the real estate is internal and infinitely one’s own.

This approach is specifically designed to appeal to the lifestyle of busy professionals, students, ordinary people. No one is required to alter their values or belief systems. In fact, the discoveries and what is revealed is entirely your own. You are able to take charge of your own mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being and develop the capacity to integrate this new awareness into daily life.

With 40 years of meditation practice, and well over 10,000 hours in sitting meditation, a doctor of chiropractic and a career as a technology consultant in the corporate world, I have been devoted to integrating spiritual practice into working life; The Art of Conscious Attention is the convergence of my life’s journey, both inner and outer and based on my direct experience.

Hack Yourself Workshops

My intention is to empower experts and novices alike with extremely subtle yet powerful tools for self-regulating the body’s nervous system in a concentrated time frame.

These practices are good for a lifetime and every student is encouraged to make it their own.

Focus awareness practices instill inner and outer focus and mindful inquiry practices illuminate and integrate this focus and awareness into all aspects of daily life.

Consciously engage in life situations with attention, by choice - based on your intention. Discover new ways to listen to yourself, to others, to engage online. Learn to look more deeply into situations and yourself to what is truly trustworthy in this moment.

Awake in the World Retreats

Customized for those who have participated in workshops and programs, we host intimate retreats and sacred journeys to explore the practical and mystical aspects of conscious attention.

I focus on ‘Attention Literacy’ because I face the same challenges we all face, remembering it is the moment-to-moment experience that is where our lives are truly lived and not in all our plans and expectations, not in our regrets and not on-line in social media. My challenge is having a vast vision and allowing it to unfold and emerge with grace and ease as I attend this moment. This is the tension that is constantly here to be explored. And I believe it is the essential tension that must be attended with curiosity and compassion and a ruthless commitment to being true to myself.
